Bowyer tabbed as CCAC Defensive Player of the Week

A three-goal performance, including a game-winner, earned Genevieve Bowyer CCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league announced on Tuesday. 

Bowyer scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute in SAU’s 3-2 double-overtime victory against Judson on November 5th in the CCAC quarterfinals. Bowyer also scored in the 73rd minute of the match. 

She scored in the 13-0 victory over Calumet on November 1st as well. 

Bowyer was a part of the backline that allowed zero shots in the win over Calumet and allowed no attempts by Judson in both overtime periods.
