Jason Lee Ringold, also known as “Ringo,” was sentenced on April 21 to 310 months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, according to an announcement made by United States Attorney David C. Waterman of the Southern District of Iowa.
Ringold, age 47 and from Burlington, sold more than 600 grams of methamphetamine in the Burlington area between April and June of 2024. During one drug transaction, he displayed a gun and threatened a customer. Court documents also show that Ringold was previously convicted in federal court in 1999 for a drug conspiracy involving the manufacture of methamphetamine.
After serving his prison sentence, Ringold will be required to complete a ten-year term of supervised release. There is no parole available under the federal system. The Burlington Police Department investigated this case.
