RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, on May 22, 2023, announced her Small Business of the Week: Geothermal Eco Options, Inc. of Howard County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

“Geothermal Eco Options, Inc. is an established leader in the industry with a team dedicated to quality service. Their innovation and decades of experience have led them to grow a thriving small business with customers throughout the region,” said Ranking Member Ernst.

Founded in 2011, owners Larry Leliefeld and Frederic “Reed” Carlson put together over 60 years of construction experience to provide a one-stop shop for geothermal heating and cooling, an innovative way to heat and cool commercial, residential, and new properties. The Cresco based business serves Iowa and the surrounding states with drilling and installation offerings.

Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
