This presentation will provide an overview on the health benefits of physical activity and the ‘Exercise is Medicine’ program managed by the Iowa State Dept. of Kinesiology.

During the registration process you can choose if you plan to attend in person or virtually. 

Presented by Greg Welk and Peggy Lockhart, ISU Physical Activity and Health Promotion Lab.

The presentation will provide an overview on the many benefits of physical activity for older adults as well as the ‘Exercise is Medicine’ program managed by the Department of Kinesiology. The focus will be on the approaches used in an ISU-led program called “Walk with Ease” that is designed to help older adults adopt and maintain physical activity.
