A Fort Dodge man has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. Christopher Lee Caquelin, 41, pleaded guilty on March 26, 2025, to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and one count of distribution of a controlled substance.
According to court records, Caquelin admitted that from January 1, 2023, through October 31, 2024, he participated in an ongoing drug conspiracy centered in Fort Dodge. He and others sold methamphetamine—specifically at least 50 grams of pure methamphetamine—to individuals in the area.
Caquelin was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand in Sioux City. The sentence includes 120 months’ imprisonment and a five-year term of supervised release following his prison term. There is no parole available in the federal system.
