Iowa State will play against Brigham Young University in a three-game softball series beginning April 16 in Provo, Utah. The Cyclones, holding a record of 25-17 overall and 5-10 in the Big 12 Conference, are seeking their second conference series win of the season.

This matchup is significant for both teams as they are tied at 5-10 in the Big 12 standings. Iowa State aims to break a three-series losing streak and secure its first-ever victory at Gail Miller Field, where it has previously lost all six games played. The Cyclones recently defeated South Dakota with an 8-0 win, marking their fifth consecutive midweek victory.

BYU enters the series with momentum from a weekend sweep over Houston and a midweek win against Utah Tech. The Cougars currently hold the longest winning streak in the conference.

Historically, BYU leads the all-time series against Iowa State with ten wins to three and remains undefeated at home versus the Cyclones. This marks Iowa State’s second trip to Provo as members of the Big 12 Conference; during their last visit in 2024, they were swept by BYU.

After completing this road series, Iowa State will return home on April 21 to host Iowa for the second game of the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series at Cyclone Sports Complex. That game is scheduled for a live broadcast on ESPN+.
