Georgia transfer Jocelyn Faison has signed with the University of Iowa women’s basketball team, according to a May 3 announcement by Head Coach Jan Jensen.

Faison, who will be a sophomore next season, is set to join the Hawkeyes with three years of eligibility remaining. She becomes the third transfer portal addition for Iowa ahead of the upcoming season, following her former Georgia teammate Dani Carnegie and Oklahoma State transfer Amari Whiting.

During her most recent season at Georgia, Faison appeared in 25 games and averaged 7.8 minutes per game along with 1.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest.

“We’re so excited to have Jocelyn. She has an extremely high ceiling and brings great length and versatility,” Jensen said. “I’m looking forward to working with her in our system and welcoming her to the Hawkeye family.”

Standing at six feet one inch tall, Faison was ranked No. 76 nationally coming out of Langston Hughes High School in Atlanta and was rated as the No. 4 player in Georgia. Her high school accolades include being named Region Player of the Year and First Team All-Region by the Georgia High School Association as well as earning All-State recognition from the Atlanta Tip-off Club.
