The Iowa Department of Transportation announced on April 13 that the Jordan Creek Parkway north entrance ramp for westbound Interstate 80 (Exit 121) in West Des Moines will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. on April 14, weather permitting. The closure is expected to remain in place until October 30, 2026, as construction work continues at the interchange.

During the closure, motorists traveling north on Jordan Creek Parkway are advised to continue north to University Avenue, turn left and travel west until reaching Grand Prairie Parkway. From there, drivers should turn left onto Grand Prairie Parkway, travel south and take the entrance ramp to reach westbound I-80 at Exit 118.

The Iowa Department of Transportation reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limits and other signs in the work area. The department also notes that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. Drivers are encouraged to stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
