The Linn County Secondary Road Department announced on April 14 that residents can now sign up to receive notifications about road construction projects. The department said these updates are available by email or phone and will inform subscribers before projects begin, allowing them to plan their commutes in advance.

The service aims to help community members stay informed about upcoming and ongoing construction activities. Residents have the option to receive general updates as well as specific notifications for individual projects as they progress.

In addition to the notification system, the department provides an interactive project map on the Linn County website. This map displays current and future construction locations, road embargoes, and other relevant information.

These tools are designed to improve communication between county officials and the public during the busy road construction season. The department encourages residents to take advantage of these resources for better planning and awareness of local infrastructure work.

Looking ahead, officials expect that timely updates will help reduce travel disruptions caused by roadwork throughout Linn County.
