Des Moines home prices rise in January 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2019 in Des Moines rose by $2,750 while total sales decreased by 4.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2019, there were 294 homes sold, with a median sale price of $122,750 - a 2.3% increase over the $120,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 307 homes sold in Des Moines in January 2018.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for January 2019.
