Des Moines home prices rise in April 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2018 in Des Moines rose by $8,605 while total sales decreased by 11.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2018, there were 414 homes sold, with a median sale price of $125,000 - a 7.4% increase over the $116,395 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 468 homes sold in Des Moines in April 2017.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for April 2018.
