Fairfax home prices fall in January 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2019 in Fairfax fell by $23,500 while total sales increased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2019, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $204,500 - a 10.3% decrease over the $228,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Fairfax in January 2018.

The median sales tax in Fairfax for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,172, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for January 2019.
