Polk City home prices rise in February 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2017 in Polk City rose by $90,960 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2017, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $283,555 - a 47.2% increase over the $192,595 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Polk City in February 2016.

The median sales tax in Polk City for 2017 was $3,800. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,688. This marks an increase of 3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
