Mount Vernon home prices fall in June 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in Mount Vernon fell by $68,500 while total sales increased by 15.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were 15 homes sold, with a median sale price of $168,000 - a 29% decrease over the $236,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Mount Vernon in June 2016.

The median sales tax in Mount Vernon for 2017 was $3,654. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,622. This marks an increase of 0.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
