Van Meter home prices fall in November 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in November 2017 in Van Meter fell by $82,725 while total sales increased by 300%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In November 2017, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $209,000 - a 28.4% decrease over the $291,725 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Van Meter in November 2016.

The median sales tax in Van Meter for 2017 was $2,316. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,219. This marks an increase of 4.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
