Marion home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Marion rose by $7,300 while total sales decreased by 13.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 267 homes sold, with a median sale price of $175,000 - a 4.4% increase over the $167,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 310 homes sold in Marion in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,255, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
