Mount Vernon home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Mount Vernon rose by $36,250 while total sales decreased by 14.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 18 homes sold, with a median sale price of $214,750 - a 20.3% increase over the $178,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 21 homes sold in Mount Vernon in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Mount Vernon for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,654, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
