Hiawatha home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Hiawatha rose by $33,850 while total sales decreased by 14.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 52 homes sold, with a median sale price of $163,750 - a 26.1% increase over the $129,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 61 homes sold in Hiawatha in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Hiawatha for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,889, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
