Dallas Center home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Dallas Center fell by $17,450 while total sales decreased by 12.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 35 homes sold, with a median sale price of $123,000 - a 12.4% decrease over the $140,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 40 homes sold in Dallas Center in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Dallas Center for 2017 was $2,653. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,292. This marks an increase of 15.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
