Dallas Center home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Dallas Center fell by $10,000 while total sales decreased by 5.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 56 homes sold, with a median sale price of $131,000 - a 7.1% decrease over the $141,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 59 homes sold in Dallas Center in 2016.

The median sales tax in Dallas Center for 2017 was $2,653. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,292. This marks an increase of 15.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
