Cedar Rapids home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Cedar Rapids rose by $1,050 while total sales decreased by 3.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 747 homes sold, with a median sale price of $144,500 - a 0.7% increase over the $143,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 776 homes sold in Cedar Rapids in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Cedar Rapids for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,557, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
