Marion home prices fall in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Marion fell by $5,750 while total sales decreased by 18.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 255 homes sold, with a median sale price of $170,000 - a 3.3% decrease over the $175,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 312 homes sold in Marion in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,255, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
