Fairfax home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Fairfax rose by $66,050 while total sales decreased by 46.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 16 homes sold, with a median sale price of $280,000 - a 30.9% increase over the $213,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 30 homes sold in Fairfax in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Fairfax for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,172, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
