Des Moines home prices rise in March 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2020 in Des Moines rose by $10,500 while total sales increased by 8.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2020, there were 332 homes sold, with a median sale price of $139,450 - a 8.1% increase over the $128,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 306 homes sold in Des Moines in March 2019.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for March 2020.
