Kirkwood Community College issued the following announcement on April 23
The latest Kirkwood-related COVID-19 updates and resources can be found by going to www.kirkwood.edu/campushealth or visiting the Student FAQ and Pass/No Pass FAQ.
ALL LECTURE FORMAT CLASSES WILL REMAIN ONLINE FOR THE REST OF SPRING TERM
All lecture format classes have moved online for the rest of the semester.
ALL LABS AND HANDS-ON COURSES ARE CURRENTLY SUSPENDED IF NOT ABLE TO BE MOVED ONLINE
All face-to-face classes that are labs and hands-on courses are currently suspended. Students should check Talon and their Kirkwood email for updates from their faculty regarding how classes will continue.
SUMMER TERM WILL BE HELD ONLINE
Summer classes at Kirkwood will be held in an online format.
ORIENTATION HAS MOVED ONLINE THROUGH JUNE
Orientation for new students will be happening online through June 2020. For more information and to register, visit www.kirkwood.edu/orientation.
VIRTUAL COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY UPDATES
The in-person commencement ceremony has been cancelled. Spring graduates can find updates about the virtual commencement ceremony at www.kirkwood.edu/commencement.
COLLEGE SERVICES, BUILDINGS, AND LOCATIONS
Kirkwood’s service employees are currently working remotely off campus and are available by email or phone. All Kirkwood buildings and locations are currently closed and are scheduled to reopen May 18.
STUDY ABROAD AND COLLEGE-RELATED TRAVEL
All 2020 Study Abroad programs have been canceled or postponed to 2021. All other college-related travel is suspended until May 18.
