Iowa City home prices rise in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Iowa City rose by $3,450 while total sales decreased by 5.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 592 homes sold, with a median sale price of $229,950 - a 1.5% increase over the $226,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 626 homes sold in Iowa City in the first half of 2019.
