Johnston home prices rise in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Johnston rose by $16,250 while total sales decreased by 3.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 184 homes sold, with a median sale price of $291,250 - a 5.9% increase over the $275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 191 homes sold in Johnston in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Johnston for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,698, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
