DELAWARE STATE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Putting Delawareans Back to Work: Economic Recovery in the First State on July 21

Economy

Delaware State Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Event Name: PUTTING DELAWAREANS BACK TO WORK: ECONOMIC RECOVERY IN THE FIRST STATE

Date: Tuesday, July 21, 2020

Time: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST

The necessary and well-considered restrictions enacted by the State of Delaware and the guidance from the CDC as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic have brought Delaware’s economy to a standstill. As we begin to emerge on the other side of the public health crisis, there is still much work to do. Just as state and health care leaders have been laser-focused on efforts to minimize the impact of the virus on Delawareans, business and community leaders must now play a vital role in getting Delawareans back to work and driving economic recovery in Delaware without a resurgence of the virus.

The workplace will look much different than it did earlier this year. Join the conversation on July 21 at this full-day, virtual conference where we will explore strategies and policies to restore the state’s economy and to enable Delawareans to safely return to work.

This conference will:

   • Highlight trends in manufacturing

   • Focus on how workforce development and upskilling strategies

   • Lay out plans to expand broadband access to all Delawareans

   • Rethink the workplace in the midst the pandemic

   • Discuss site readiness and how to establish Delaware as a regional leader

   • Provide budget and other legislative updates from the State’s leadership
