MOUNT MERCY UNIVERSITY : High School, Youth Baseball Fall Leagues Registration

Mount Mercy University issued the following announcement on July 21

Registration is open for the 2020 Mount Mercy Baseball High School Fall League as well as the City of Cedar Rapids and Mount Mercy USSSA Youth Baseball Fall League.

The high school fall league is open to high school athletes of all skill levels and runs each Sunday from Aug. 30-Oct. 18. Two divisions of play are available and games will be played at various local diamonds, including the turf field at Mount Mercy's Robert W. Plaster Athletic Complex. The registration deadline for the high school fall league is 5:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21. online registration | printable registration

The USSSA youth baseball fall league, Iowa's largest USSSA sanctioned fall baseball league, is open to all skill levels with a 7-week schedule that runs from Aug. 29-Oct. 25. Games will be played at various city diamonds and will be limited to 90 minutes. Teams supply game balls and USSSA rules will be used with the focus being on preparing teams for the 2021 season. Speed-up rules will also be in effect and the league will have open rosters and relaxed substitution rules.
