Fairfax home prices rise in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Fairfax rose by $57,000 while total sales decreased by 36.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 23 homes sold, with a median sale price of $259,900 - a 28.1% increase over the $202,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 36 homes sold in Fairfax in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Fairfax for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,172, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
