Sixty-five applicants of the Coronavirus Relief Fund Employer Innovation Fund will receive grants to help them recover and function in the wake of the damage left by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Office of Gov. Kim Reynolds.
The Coronavirus Relief Fund Employer Innovation Fund was founded with the intention of awarding businesses and organizations that have shown resilience in the face of the pandemic and have been able to have limited success given the circumstances. Reynolds said applicants will receive grants totaling more than $4 million to help them continue to innovate and succeed in one of the most difficult economies in recent memory.
“Future Ready Iowa’s Employer Innovation Fund is centered around a grassroots effort to solve local workforce challenges while helping Iowans find economic opportunity in their community. The winning projects address barriers for Iowans who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic by providing training opportunities that will build on our economic recovery,” Reynolds said.
This comes on the heels of other initiatives and actions taken at the state and federal level to help stimulate business and other organizations after the pandemic has left so many of them struggling to fund basic operations.
