Altoona home prices rise in the third quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2020 in Altoona rose by $2,365 while total sales decreased by 2.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2020, there were 142 homes sold, with a median sale price of $233,450 - a 1% increase over the $231,085 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 146 homes sold in Altoona in the third quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Altoona for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,448, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2020.
