Median home prices in Marion rose to $197,500 in the second half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Marion rose by $24,800 while total sales decreased by 8.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 431 homes sold, with a median sale price of $197,500 - a 14.4% increase over the $172,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 472 homes sold in Marion in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
