Elkhart home prices fell in the fourth quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2020 in Elkhart fell by $450 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2020, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $218,000 - a 0.2% decrease over the $218,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Elkhart in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Elkhart for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,780, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2020.
