Mount Vernon home prices rose in the fourth quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2020 in Mount Vernon rose by $26,750 while total sales increased by 35.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2020, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $235,000 - a 12.8% increase over the $208,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in Mount Vernon in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Mount Vernon for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,654, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2020.
