Home prices increased in Cedar Rapids during the first quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Cedar Rapids rose by $2,500 while total sales decreased by 11.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 470 homes sold, with a median sale price of $139,250 - a 1.8% increase over the $136,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 532 homes sold in Cedar Rapids in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Cedar Rapids for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,561, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
