Median home prices in Altoona rose to $250,000 in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Altoona rose by $33,050 while total sales increased by 3.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 215 homes sold, with a median sale price of $250,000 - a 15.2% increase over the $216,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 208 homes sold in Altoona in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Altoona for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,448, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
