A recent poll revealed that a majority of the questionnaire participants showed they have concern for China's influence over the culture, media and government of the U.S.

The poll was conducted by the Trafalgar Group, in partnership with the Convention of States Action, and surveyed 1,089 likely general election voters. Of the 1,089 participants, overall, 81% expressed concern for China's influence.

Of the 81%, 50.8% said they were "very concerned" while 18.7% recorded they were "somewhat concerned" and 11.5% said they were "concerned."

Only 18.9% said they were not concerned over China's influence.

The results also remained consistent across political party lines. Of Democrats, 71.4% expressed concern alongside 92.2% of Republicans. Of independent and third-party voters, 79.4% showed concern.

The survey was conducted from July 12-13, and the results were published the same month.

The Trafalgar Group is a public polling and market research firm. Real Clear Politics called it the "most accurate pollster of the cycle among those firms that polled multiple Senate and governor races" this year, according to the Trafalgar Group's official website.

Their partner for the poll, Convention of States Action, is a grassroots political organization with over 5 million supporters across the United States, according to its release about the poll. The organization's primary focus is on calling an Article V convention of the states to propose amendments that would impose limitations on the size and scope of the federal government to the U.S. Constitution.

The worry over China's influence over the U.S. is partly due to American corporations continuing to partner with Chinese manufacturers to keep business rolling.

Collins Aerospace is an example of a large American corporation that does business with China. The business's predecessor, Rockwell Collins, was based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Collins Aerospace still employs tens of thousands of Iowans. The company has provided the Chinese commercial aircraft fleet with parts and technology for decades and has recently extended this partnership for another 10 years, according to Collins Aerospace's website.
