There are some interesting movements to note in the newest Associated Press poll and, that being said, Iowa has once again secured the 5th position for a third week in a row.
"Iowa holds firm at No. 5 in the AP poll. Iowa State falls out after its loss to Baylor," Twitter user Todd Brommelkamp tweeted Sept. 26.
After Iowa State lost to Baylor on Saturday, Sept. 25, they have now been dropped out of this week's poll, The Daily Iowan reported.
However, contrary to the last two weeks, the Iowa Hawkeyes are no longer the highest-ranked team in the Big Ten.
Iowa has 1,277 points in week 5 of the AP poll, according to DraftKings Nation. The top 3 spots in the poll remained unchanged, with Alabama, Georgia and Oregon staying in their respective spots. You will find a total of four SEC teams in the top 10 apart from two teams from the Big Ten. There is also one team each from Notre Dame, American Athletic Conference and the Big 12.
