Former Vice President Mike Pence is among the potential presidential candidates in 2024 making an early visit to Iowa.
Pence is scheduled to appear at the University of Iowa on Nov. 1. He will speak at an event staged by the Young American Foundation, a conservative organization Pence has embraced since the end of the Trump administration, Politico reported.
This will be Pence’s second trip in a few months to Iowa, which traditionally holds the first presidential primary. Pence was in Iowa this summer for the Faith & Freedom Summit, another conservative event hosted by Bob Vander Plaats, a leading evangelical figure in Iowa, Politico reported.
Pence has also made appearances in New Hampshire and South Carolina. He is headed to Oregon this weekend, according to his nonprofit, Advancing American Freedom. Trump, meanwhile, is expected to visit Iowa next week, Politico reported.
