October 2021: Altoona experienced a 6.2% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2021 in Altoona rose by $14,850 while total sales increased by 9.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2021, there were 48 homes sold, with a median sale price of $254,500 - a 6.2% increase over the $239,650 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 44 homes sold in Altoona in October 2020.

The median sales tax in Altoona for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,448, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for October 2021.
