Rising home prices in Marion in the fourth quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Marion rose by $8,750 while total sales remained unchanged with 204 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were 204 homes sold, with a median sale price of $208,000 - a 4.4% increase over the $199,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 204 homes sold in Marion in the fourth quarter of 2020, as well.

The median sales tax in Marion for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,258, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
