18th Annual Ambrose Women for Social Justice Conference - Challenging Boundaries; Building Community

Location: ROGALSKI CENTER

Join us on campus for a morning of panels, networking, and a keynote presentation around the topic of Re/Building Community.

The 2022 Keynote Speaker is Ann McGlynn, founder of Tapestry Farms. Scroll down to read about Ann. This event is part of the St. Ambrose University College of Arts and Sciences project series Re/Building Community.

Menu: Antipasto, Chicken Cacciatore, Pasta Bar, Caesar Salad, Zucchini Sauté, and Tiramisu

Cost: $15, to be pre-paid after online registration. Students may use their meal plan to cover the cost. Extra chairs will be set up for conference attendees who would prefer to skip lunch and just listen to the keynote address.

About Ann

Ann McGlynn is the founder and executive director of Tapestry Farms, a nonprofit urban farm system that invests in refugees who live in the Quad Cities.

She grew up on a small farm in Iowa, earned an undergraduate degree in journalism and a surprising master's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa. Ann spent 25 years in newspaper journalism and nonprofit communications. Her life is measured in two: before September 2016 and after.
