Coe College 2022-2023 Arts@Coe schedule

The 2022-2023 Arts@Coe season will be filled with toe-tapping music, thought-provoking speakers and even eye-watering laughter! Known for showcasing student, faculty and local talent, with featured national and international performances, the Coe College arts scene provides a thriving hub for both performers and those who love to be entertained.

The 2022-2023 Arts@Coe season includes:

 

    •    Music: Concerts featuring Coe’s jazz band, symphony and orchestra ensembles will be hosted on campus. The Homecoming Showcase Concert on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. will debut Coe’s full array of ensembles for the year. And the iconic Coe Christmas Convocation and Vespers will take place on Nov. 29 at 7:00 p.m. Both holiday events are free of charge.

    •    Marquis Series: Nobuntu, a Zimbabwean female a cappella quintet will perform on Oct. 25. Frank Warren, creator of Post Secret will engage audiences on Feb. 17. All events will be hosted in Sinclair Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

    •    Theater: Three main productions will grace the stage of Dows Theatre this academic year. “Wonder of the World” runs on October 21-23 and October 27-29; “Eurydice” runs on February 10-12 and February 16-18; “Roadkill Confidential” runs on April 14-16 and April 21-23. Most performances start at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees beginning at 2 p.m.

    •    Thursday Forum: The 2022-2023 Thursday Forum season will include lectures on the Italian Renaissance, Critical Race Theory, Daphne Du Maurier, Europe and the Americas, Greek Olympians, Roman Gladiators, history of sports in the U.S. and the U.S. Constitution.

    •    Visual arts: Coe’s Sinclair Art Galleries will display works by Coe faculty and students and artists including Rachel Cox, Jack Hayes, Sam Weis, Theresa Pfarr and more.
