WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee hearing, senior committee member Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) touted the Cattle Price Discovery and Transparency Act, bipartisan legislation he and his colleagues introduced to permanently authorize a cattle contract library and establish regional minimums for the percentage of non-contract cattle sales. Grassley also underscored the adverse environmental effects of mineral sourcing for electric vehicles, as well as the need to address Brazil’s 16 percent tariffs on American ethanol.
