Iowa House Republicans elect assistant majority leaders for 2025

Today, House Republicans in Iowa conducted elections to finalize their leadership team for the upcoming 2025 Legislative Session. Four Assistant Majority Leaders were elected during this process.

The elected representatives are Jon Dunwell from Newton, Heather Hora from Washington, Craig Johnson from Independence, and Brent Siegrist from Council Bluffs.

Speaker Pat Grassley of New Hartford extended his congratulations to the newly elected leaders. "Congratulations to these four individuals on their election to serve as Assistant Majority Leaders," he stated. "With our House Republicans leadership team set, we are ready to get straight to work on January 13th to deliver on the promises we have made to Iowans."

The 91st Iowa General Assembly is scheduled to begin its session on Monday, January 13, 2025.
