EDA awards over $34 million in grants for economic development projects in Iowa in 2022

In 2022, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) issued 24 grants totaling $34,410,580 to fund economic development projects in Iowa.

This represents a 286.9% increase over 2021, when the state received $8,894,639 in funding.

Iowa ranked 40th across the U.S. in total EDA grant funding for 2022. California topped the list with $238,656,132 in funding across 57 grants.

City of Davenport received the largest EDA grant for funding an economic development project in the state, totalling $9,968,028.
