The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking public feedback on a planned detour and improvements for Iowa 136 between U.S. 61 and Delmar in Clinton County. The construction, scheduled to begin in 2026, will necessitate a traffic detour during the work period.

The proposed detour route would utilize Clinton and Jackson County Road Y-60 and U.S. 61, connecting at the junction of Iowa 64. Despite the detour, access to properties along the route will be maintained throughout the construction phase.

Residents are encouraged to learn more about the project and share their input online until June 11. To comment, individuals must provide their name and zip code.

For further inquiries or free translation services regarding the project, Hector Torres-Cacho, a transportation planner with the Iowa DOT District 6 Office, can be contacted at hector.torres-cacho@iowadot.us or by phone at 641-469-4007.
