The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced the establishment of a corridor preservation zone (CPZ) for U.S. 20 in Peosta, Dubuque County. The CPZ will cover the area from approximately 0.4 miles west of Sundown Road to about 0.5 miles west of Swiss Valley Road.

According to the Iowa DOT, corridor preservation is a strategy used to safeguard land for future transportation needs while also protecting property owners. This newly established CPZ will remain in effect for three years.
