Iowa 175 between Dayton and Stratford will be closed from July 14 to July 16 for resurfacing work on the bridge over the Des Moines River, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's Jefferson construction office. No detour route will be posted during this period.

The Iowa DOT advises motorists to drive cautiously, adhere to speed limits, and follow signs in the work area. Traffic fines for violations are doubled in work zones. Drivers should remain alert, maintain safe distances between vehicles, and wear seat belts.

Travelers can access up-to-date information through the 511 system by visiting 511ia.org, calling 511 within Iowa or 800-288-1047 nationwide. The service is also available on social media platforms Facebook and X, with links provided on the Iowa DOT website. A mobile app is available for download, and users can subscribe to Your 511 for email or text alerts at https://new.511ia.org/#login.

For more details about this project, contact Jenny Hoskins at the Iowa DOT Jefferson construction office at 515-386-8166 or jenny.hoskins@iowadot.us.
